In case you’ve been living under the proverbial rock of late (and by that we mean not following any of our news updates on our impending move), then you may have missed that Ogilvy & Mather Group UK kicked off its move this month over to the amazing SEA CONTAINERS on the South Bank.
Ogilvy & Mather London, along with Ogilvy Labs, and #OgilvyChange, were first in on January 11th, shortly followed by Ogilvy PR, Blue Hive and Neo@Ogilvy, with Ogilvy Healthworld not far behind. By the middle of next month, the full group (including OgilvyOne, One Unilever, OgilvyOne Business et al), will be spread across 12 stunning floors. They will also be joined by the team from sister WPP media agency, MEC.
Not only will the move bring together the creative talent that make up the Ogilvy family but the agile and open workspace will also promote collaboration through mobility across floors and departments.
With people from the entire Ogilvy group sat side by side, it’s easy to see how this culture of integration will set the foundation for new trails to be blazed and creativity to flow.
Annette King, chief executive of Ogilvy & Mather Group UK, summarises that, “Employees can move around the building to work on a project or pitch, either within or across operating companies. The main difference between the two locations is the creative inspiration. From the Tate Modern to the National Theatre, we’re right in the middle of this cultural mile.”
On a social note, the move is going phenomenally well (WiFi worked from day one!), and if you’re yet to see any of the updates, then go take a look at #blazenewtrails across Twitter and Instagram for a taster of how much we’re taking to our new digs.
Indeed, the views are ridiculous and while it still has that ever-so FRESH feel to it right now, we’re doing a very good job to making it look as lived in as possible.
Do come and visit some time…
