Annette is CEO of Ogilvy & Mather UK Group, she has worked for Ogilvy for 14 years, enjoying a rapid rise through the ranks in various different roles.
Annette began her Ogilvy life with a four-year stint running the American Express EMEA business. In 2005 she was promoted to Client Services Director, with primary responsibility for new business.
Shortly after this, she ran the agency's burgeoning digital arm, Ogilvy Interactive. In November 2006 she was promoted to Deputy MD. In 2007 she led the team that won that year's biggest pitch, for British Gas, following it up (not long after) with the British Airways global direct and loyalty business. She was appointed Managing Director at the beginning of 2008. Nine months later she was promoted to the position of CEO.
After four years of running and growing OgilvyOne London, she was promoted to CEO of OgilvyOne Europe/Africa & Middle East (EAME) in May 2012. She also became the Chairman of OgilvyOne London.
In May 2014 she was named CEO of Ogilvy & Mather UK Group. She has taken on responsibility across all ten of Ogilvy's ten operating companies, working closely with the individual CEOs to drive Ogilvy's success in the UK forward.
Prior to her arrival at Ogilvy, King worked for eight years at Wunderman, mostly in New York. Annette is a member of the Women’s Advertising Club of London (WACL). She is an IPA Council member and a Non-Executive Director of London First, the business organisation that aims to help London be the best city in the world in which to do business. She lives in West London with her husband and two young children.
